Clark B. Briner is the Founder and the Principal of Revere Capital. Mr. Briner started his real estate career in 1997 when he made his first multifamily real estate investment. He then joined MacFarlan Capital Partners, an institutional private equity real estate firm, where he was a Director. After years in private equity, Mr. Briner moved to New York City as a senior investment banker at Deutsche Bank, where he served on the private equity real estate team, as well as the new business underwriting committee. Over his years in investment banking, he has participated in traditional public market capitalizations and executions, real estate mergers and acquisitions and workout and restructuring assignments. During his real estate career, Mr. Briner has had significant institutional experience on both the principal investment and investment banking side. Mr. Briner has also served as an owner, lender, operator, sponsor and equity partner.
Prior to Mr. Briner’s real estate career, he served in several political positions on both the state and federal level. Mr. Briner holds a BS with honors from Texas Tech and an MBA in Finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
Baxter Billingsley serves as Vice President at Revere Capital with responsibility for sourcing, underwriting and structuring new debt origination and investment opportunities. Prior to joining Revere Capital, Mr. Billingsley was a member of PwC’s alternative asset structuring practice based in New York.
Mr. Billingsley earned a Master of Business Administration from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mississippi State University. Mr. Billingsley is a Certified Public Accountant.
Richard Caldwell serves as Senior Vice President at Revere Capital with responsibility for leading commercial real estate lending. Mr. Caldwell’s career experience includes over 20-years in real estate and corporate finance, with an emphasis on structured debt and equity for value-add commercial real estate projects. While EVP & Chief Lending Officer at Pacific National Bank, part of $19 billion FBOP Corporation, Mr. Caldwell was responsible for over $2 billion in real estate loans and growth of bank assets by an 8x multiple. Earlier, Richard was a founding partner at Buchanan Street Partners, a California based real estate equity fund manager founded in 1999 with focus on joint venture investments in value-add real estate projects located in the western U.S. At Buchanan Street Partners, Richard was SVP & Regional Manager responsible for offices in San Francisco, Denver and Seattle. Mr. Caldwell’s career began at Bank of America, where he served as a Corporate Account officer in San Francisco and Munich, Germany. Richard’s lending career has included loans and equity investments from $3 million to $120 million.
Having completed a Masters in International Business at Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelors of Arts at University of Oregon, Richard serves as Board Member and Treasurer at Alegria Community Living, is active in serving his local community, achieve rank of Eagle Scout, and is father to two daughters.
Tommy V. Clinton, serving as a Director at Revere Capital, had a 33-year career with Equitable Real Estate Investment Management, Inc. (ERE), before retiring as Executive Vice President. At that time, ERE was the largest institutional real estate manager in the United States, managing more than $36 billion in assets from more than 300 pension funds, including some of the nation’s largest such as CalPERS, CalSTRS, the New York State Common Retirement Fund, NYSTRS and the State of Florida. Mr. Clinton has subsequently been involved in the ownership and development of several prestigious mountain developments in the northeast Georgia mountains.
Mr. Clinton was a member of the Equitable Real Estate’s Management and Investment committees and also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) for seven years. In 1993, he was appointed President and CEO of Column Financial, Inc., a joint venture between ERE and Donaldson, Lufkin, & Jenrette.
Mr. Clinton received his BA from Rhodes College, where he was recently inducted into the Rhodes Athletic Hall of Fame.
Larry Fisher serves as Director of Asset Management with responsibility for managing Revere’s REO, non-performing and sub-standard performing loans and reviews legal documents for most all loan originations, extensions, modifications and forbearance agreements. Mr. Fisher also sits on Revere’s Valuation Committee
Mr. Fisher has more than 30 years of management, CRE lending and workout experience both within the banking industry and private sector in a senior capacity, most recently at Trimont Real Estate Advisors as SVP & Director of Asset Management. He has also served in a senior capacity with M&T Bank, Windemere Capital, Bank of America NTS&A, and 5/3 Bank, N.A., managing CRE lending units that originated, on average, more than $1.5B annually and portfolios of complex, distressed CRE assets in excess of $2B.
Mr. Fisher earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Management and Marketing from Wright State University and is a U.S. Army veteran and served with distinction while attached to the 545th MP Corp and 1st Air Cav in a special operations role.
Mike Giannone serves as a Vice President at Revere Capital with responsibility for debt origination, structuring and sourcing investment opportunities. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Giannone served as Vice President at The Broadsmoore Group, a merchant bank focused on socially responsible or paradigm shifting business models. While managing business development efforts for the firm, he used his network successfully to significantly increase the firm’s production.
Mr. Giannone began his career in commercial real estate with Cushman and Wakefield, where he focused on investment sales and industrial leasing. He holds a real estate license, as well as a life, accident and health license (series 18-03) in Connecticut. He earned a BS from Fairfield University.
Sandi Hubbard serves as a Director at Revere Capital with responsibility for loan underwriting and origination. Prior to Revere, she was an Asset Manager with Hudson Advisors, where she managed a $150 million portfolio of non-performing loans. Prior to Hudson, she was a Senior Vice President with the Opportunistic Debt Group of Capmark Investments LP, and, with its predecessor firm, GMAC Commercial Mortgage, a Vice President with the Merchant Banking Group, where she structured, underwrote and closed over $1.7 billion in large-balance mezzanine debt, preferred equity and high-yield first mortgage transactions. Prior to Capmark, Sandi was an Associate with the tax-exempt financing group of The Related Companies, which provided replacement and takeout credit enhancement for multifamily tax-exempt bonds. Sandi started her real estate career with Lazard-Freres’ Real Estate Investment Banking Group.
Ms. Hubbard earned a MS in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University.
Ryan Leach leads Revere Capital’s Investor Relations efforts with responsibility for managing communications with current fund investors and assisting with capital campaigns, fund raising strategies and financial reporting associated with Revere Capital’s multiple funds. Prior to Revere, Mr. Leach directed the investor relations programs at BBT Capital Management LLC, a Bass Family Hedge Fund, with offices in Fort Worth and Greenwich, CT. At BBT, Mr. Leach managed investor relations and capital raising initiatives for a $1+ billion market neutral, multi-strategy hedge fund comprised of a mix of long/short, fixed-income, and event-driven portfolios. Prior to BBT, he was Director of Client Relations at Rockwood Investment Partners, a long short hedge fund in Dallas, where he developed and executed the fund’s marketing and business development programs.
He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in marketing and management from Baylor University in Waco, TX.
Brian O’Flanagan serves as a Director at Revere Capital with responsibility for loan underwriting and execution. Previously, Mr. O’Flanagan was a Senior Vice President of Downtown Capital Partners, where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing the firm’s real estate and special situation corporate debt investments. Prior to Downtown, Mr. O’Flanagan was Managing Member of Fairlawn Capital Group, where he served as a consultant to investment firms focusing on alternative investments. Prior to forming Fairlawn Capital Group, O’Flanagan was a Vice President at D.B. Zwirn & Co, a multi-strategy hedge fund with $6 billion assets under management. At D.B. Zwirn, Mr. O’Flanagan managed a $175 million portfolio of REITs and SPACs. Prior to DBZ, he was a Portfolio Manager at the Praedium Group, where he launched and co-managed a hedge fund focused on real estate securities. Prior to that, Mr. O’Flanagan served as a Portfolio Analyst for Northland Capital Partners, a real estate hedge fund formed by Northland Investment Corporation, a $1 billion real estate operating company. His background also includes two years as a sell-side research analyst covering REITs and four years as a real estate accountant.
Mr. O’Flanagan earned a Masters of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
Matt T. Turner serves as a Senior Vice President at Revere Capital with responsibility for debt origination, structuring and sourcing investment opportunities. Prior to joining Revere Capital, Mr. Turner was the President and Managing Partner of Canvasback Capital, a Dallas private equity firm that made real estate investments via acquisitions and development of commercial and multi-family properties. Mr. Turner spent the majority of his real estate career with Lincoln Property Company (LPC), one of the largest and most successful, private real estate firms in the United States. Mr. Turner spent over 10 years at LPC where he was responsible for financing over a $1.5 billion of commercial development, redevelopment, and acquisitions for office, industrial and retail assets. Mr. Turner brings a diverse skill set over multiple disciplines in real estate and finance – equity and debt structuring, asset management, leasing, and investment sales.
Mr. Turner earned a BA with Honors and BBA from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA in Finance and Real Estate from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
Brigitte White serves as Chief Compliance Officer at Revere Capital with responsibility for overseeing legal and regulatory compliance. Ms. White gained significant experience in investor relations, business development and investment structuring, including in real estate, private equity, joint ventures, credit facilities, etc., as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Tax of D.B. Zwirn & Co., a $6 billion international special opportunities fund. Ms. White has also served as Chief Financial Officer/legal counsel for a multi million-dollar company where she also oversaw their operations and real estate joint ventures, including real estate negotiations, valuations, structurings and financings. Ms. White began her career practicing law for over eight years with two of the largest global law firms, Clifford Chance and Linklaters, advising on sophisticated domestic and international transactions, specifically specializing in REITS, funds, structured finance and financial products.
Ms. White holds a BS in accounting from Birmingham Southern College, a JD from the University of Alabama School of Law and an LLM Masters of Taxation from New York University School of Law.
Sarah Woodward serves as Senior Vice President at Revere Capital with responsibility for debt origination, structuring and sourcing investment opportunities. Ms. Woodward brings to Revere a 30+ year background that includes strategic and opportunistic commercial real estate investment and finance, project feasibility and valuation analysis, bank and borrower workout solutions, risk-mitigating structured finance, and NMTC financing. She is best known as the former Vice President and Regional Manager of the Orange County office of Fremont Investment & Loan, where she oversaw over $4 billion in structured repositioning and construction loans in Southern California from 1995 to 2007. Since that time, she has assisted several significant clients in sourcing and structuring creative debt solutions for all property types in the Southwest U.S.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, Sarah and her husband reside in Laguna Beach, California, where she is involved with many local philanthropic organizations. She is the mother of two young adult children.
Edward Wu serves as a Director at Revere Capital with responsibility for the origination of special situations debt opportunities with emphasis on sourcing, originating and underwriting real and financial asset based loans. Mr. Wu’s prior experience includes stints in investment banking with Salomon Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch, and Bryant Park Capital, where he primarily focused on advising in M&A and equity and debt placements in a range of industries and transaction structure types, including debt placements, such as ABL revolving credit facilities and senior and subordinated term loans, as well as cash and stock mergers, LBOs, restructurings and reorganizations, IPOs and follow-on offerings. After serving as an investment banking advisor for seven years, Ed managed liquid credit portfolios at Reservoir Capital and Harbert Management, where he also served on numerous Ad Hoc and Official Creditor/Bondholder and Equityholder Committees for numerous Chapter 11 reorganizations/restructurings.
Ed graduated magna cum laude from Duke University and received a JD from Harvard Law School. He also holds FINRA Series 7, 24 79 & 63 Licenses.
Robby Brown, serving as a Director at Revere Capital, began his career in corporate finance. Since that time, Mr. Brown has had more than 20 years of investment experience, beginning with six years as a financial advisor with Ronald Blue & Co. Mr. Brown then moved to the funds side of the business, focusing on investor relations for real estate, hedge fund and hedge fund of fund managers such as Hatteras Investment Partners and Infinity Capital. Throughout his career, Mr. Brown has developed strong relationships within the registered investment advisor, wealth management and family office communities.
Mr. Brown has a BS from Wake Forest University and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
